Results guaranteed. ?BBWBWHPMBBMWM??? ? A Result ot Prohibition. During the Confederate reunion last week we made it our Jbu9iae98 to inquire of many of the veterans and citizens of the place about the drinking of alcoholic liquors. The largest estimate we received from any one was that there were not 25 veterans here under the influence of liquor. We were told that there were two veterans here who were drunk?one of thern a poor man of this place who has been in that condition for some time, and the other was stranger. There were probably more than 25,009 persons on our streets during this Confederate reunion and according to the best information we could obtain there was not an average of one man to the thousand who was in anyway under the influence of alcoholic drink. This, we yenture to say, is one of the most magnificent exhibitions of the results of prohibition to be found in any city. Prohibition does prohibit equally as well as any other law prohibits vice or crime. The sentiment in Spartanburg is in favor of prohibition and the man who violates the law against whiskey is made to feel the heavy hand of the law the same as he who violates any other law.?Southern Christian Advocate. ? ^2> The Best Hour of Life is when you do some great deed or discover some wondeiAl fact.
