Richland does 3 not have so much money that she can 1 sling it broadcast among us. The 1 fact t hat she wants us, proves that * she has use for us; and that use is not to benefit us, but to benefit herself. If the Fork, which constitutes at least i one-fourth of the wealth and voting 3 strength, has cause to complain i against Lexington county for lack of 5 recognition, forty square miles of 3 sparsely populated territory has a mighty poor equipment for defence 1 against the aggressions of a large and 3 prosperous city.
