Everybody knows that Austin is a good fisherman, because he has the patience of the job; but 110 one knew that he could "tote" the mail and fish at the same time. It happened this way: Austin's route goes right j by Mr. Paul Clarke's pond, and that | gentleman is somewhat of a fisherman himself. One day last week Mr. Clarke had sonic hook3 setting along the edge of the pond for^trout, and when Mr. Roof came along he saw a mighty fish grab one of the hooks and make away across the pond. Seeing that the fish was getting off at a rapid gait, Austin lost no time in alighting from his buggy, and going in pursnit. Tne fish was finally overtaken?and brought to the bank after a brief struggle. It was a large trout, weighing 12,1'o pounds. Austin made his trip on schedule time, bringing the fish to town with him.
