George Corley, who resides just beyond the Lexington depot, met with a painful and quite serious accident while in Columbia yesterday. Corley out of the wagon with such force that his leg was broken, his hip dislocated and perhaps injuring: him internally. At 5 o'clock Thursday morning fire was discovered in the store of Mrs. Julia Williams, at Wagoner, which soon destroyed it and quickly spread lo adjoining stores and completely destro>el nine stores, the depot and barber shop. The (3 una el loss reaches from ?10,010 to $50,COO, beside the depot. Coining as it did just at the beginning of the busy fail season it is quite a heavy loss to all, and especially on some who lost their all. Mr. J. W. Lybrand, one of the leading merchants in this section of the State, says that ho can not get a building and be ready to carry on his extensive trade again before January 1.
