Roof spent Sunday at Tybee, Savannah, Ga. Mr. McDavid Horton, of the Columbia Record, one of the brightest young newspaper men in the State, represented his paper at the campaign meeting here yesterday. Prof, and Mrs. S. S. Lindler, of Gilbert, are visiting their daughters, Mrs. Mooneyhan and Mrs. Tollon, at Bishopville. Mr. D. E. Sharpe, of Edmund, presented The Dispatch force with a very fine melon on Saturday. Childrens' Say at feasant Hill Last Saturday, June 27, thePleasan Hill Sunday school, together witl their numerous friends, spent a mos pleasant day in holding their Chil drens' Day exercises. A large crowc was present and the day was one o happy, good cheer. The address of welcome was mad* by Rev. J. D. Taylor. This was re sponded to by Rev. W. L. Hayes. The Providence Sunday school at tended in a body, and the superinten dent, Mr. Rhinehart, made an ad dress. The program of both schools which consisted of songs, recitations etc., was well rendered and thorough ly enjoyed by all. A good old tim< picnic ainner was served at noonday A large crowd of visiting friends fron other schools and denominations wai present. The Pleasant Hill congregation is under the care of Rev.
