The Lexington County Democratic Executive committee will meet in the court house on Monday, July 6th, and arrange for the county campaign, assessment of the various candidates, etc. The "Lytic." The regular quarterly meeting of the Lexington County Farmers' Hnion will be held in the court house here on Saturday, July 11th. Every member of the Union should be present. Roland of near Lexington, died at the Columbia hospital on Sunday from the effects of a delicate operation performed a few days ago. She was buried at St. David's on Monday afternoon. Amick, whose residence was burned just three month ago yesterday, has moved into his new home on the spot where the old one etood. This was indeed quick work. Kernaghan and D. B. Rawl, from Batesburg, passed through Lexington on Saturday on their way to and from Columbia. They were in Mr. Rut land's handsome Reo automobile and the trip was made with ea9e and comfort. Mr. Rutland has grown to be an expert driver, and his machine is one of the best that money can buy. A few days ago the Misses Mathias charmingly entertained a number of their friends at a moonlight picnic. Dancing was engaged in for a while after which delightful refreshments were served. Miss Ora Mathias has returned to her home, after spending several days at the home of her uncle, Mr. J. Ed. Mathias.
