Automobile Party.
Messrs. M. E. Rutland, T. B. Kernaghan
and D. B. Rawl, from Batesburg,
passed through Lexington on
Saturday on their way to and from
Columbia. They were in Mr. Rut
land's handsome Reo automobile and
the trip was made with ea9e and comfort.
Mr. Rutland has grown to be
an expert driver, and his machine is
one of the best that money can buy.
He will shortly begin the operation of
an automobile line between Leesville
and Johnston, which will no doubt be
a success, since the schedules now operated
by the Southern is so very inconvenient
to the traveling men.

False Beport.
To my many friends and the public
generally:
I understand it has been rumored
around the country that I was going
to charge 50 cents for dinner on the
4th. This is untrue. The price will
be 35 cents for men and 25 cents for
ladies, children in proportion to age.
So don't get beat out of a firstclass
dinner by a false report.

after which delightful refreshments
were served.
