Ferguson, a prosperous = farmer living four miles from Abbeville, was found dead in a small creek on Wednesday last. Mr. Ferguson d had been over to see his mother and i, was on his way home riding a mule. ?- Upon the mule reaching home with d out its rider, a search was made and - the body found in the creek. It is i- supposed Mr. Ferguson was thrown in the creek and rendered unconscious and drowned, as the body was partly covered with water. C., a levy of (5) five mills has been made on all the taxable property within the corporate limits of said town for municipal purposes for the year 1908.
