I fouqd the territories jumping up and down over the statehood proposition, and now they are preparing for statehood; the issues are only three. First, who shall have the offices; second, whether they shall have constitutional prohibition, and thirdly, where shall the capital be located. It seems that almost every other fellow wants office, and the question of constitutional prohibition will be fought out to the last ditch. The advocates of prohibition are aggressive, believe they will win. I can't say which it is, a corn or cotton, wheat, oats, vegetable or fruit country. It's as good for one as the other, and no better section for any one of those commodities and they are growing all those things to perfection and in all abundance.
