Sam Jones on Oklahoma.
I find the ci-ods in Oklahoma and
Kansas promise great. The wheat
crop is a little short in yield r>er acre,
but looks fine in the shock. Kansas
never had a greater crop all round
than is now growing. The seasons
have been fine out here and the cultivation
is fine. The wheat crop is
about harvested.
I fouqd the territories jumping up
and down over the statehood proposition,
and now they are preparing
for statehood; the issues are only
three. First, who shall have the
offices; second, whether they shall
have constitutional prohibition, and
thirdly, where shall the capital be
located.
It seems that almost every other
fellow wants office, and the question
of constitutional prohibition will be
fought out to the last ditch. The advocates
of prohibition are aggressive,
believe they will win. The matter is
aready settled in Indian Territory for

the territories statehood.
The capital will no doubt be located
at Oklahoma City .or Shawnee, from
the present outlook. I never come
into the territories but that I am more
and more persuaded that they have
the garden spot of America and the
people there all know it. I
can't say which it is, a corn or cotton,
wheat, oats, vegetable or fruit
country. It's as good for one as the
other, and no better section for any
one of those commodities and they
are growing all those things to perfection
and in all abundance. The
towns are all growing like Jonah's
gourd and the growth now is substantial,
in business houses a nd residences
Twenty years from now Oklahoma
state will rank right up with the best
states in this union. Her coal, her
oil and gas and minerals would make
her rich and her agricultural features
will make her rich and so she will be
doubly rich. Keep your eye on Oklahoma
state.

Unnecessary Expense.
Acute attacks of colic and diarrhoea
come on without warning and prompt
relief must be obtained. There is no
necessity of incurring the expense of a
physician's service in such cases if
Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea

this remedy will relieve the patient before
a doctor could arrive. It has never
been known to fail, even in the most
severe and dangerous cases and no family
should be without it. For sale by
