Loiter from Georgia. To the Editor of the Dispatch: As now the rush of court is over I will give you and the good folks of Lexington couDty a few dots from j cats mis section. We are now having rain to no end. The Ogeechee river is to its highest notch. The fresh water brought us plenty of shad up the river. Mr. Editor, these shad are sure fine, the average weight is about ten pounds. Today is George Washington's birthday. I guess Mr. Felix and all the other R F. D. carriers are glad when this day comes, as it means to them a day of rest. Most of the farmers in this section are well up with their work, and now in about 15 days we will start to plant corn. . I now live 4 miles south of Hal cyondale, 12 miles north of Statesboro, 42 miles southeast of Savannah and 2 miles from the Ogeechee river. We have a good Sunday school one mile from where I live and we can go every Sunday. To my surprise the J good people have elected me as their biule teacher. We also have a church two miles from us, and the good folks of this section are going to build a nice church to cost about $2,000. The committee met a few days since and made up the money for the church. One man opened up his heart and also his pocketbook > and gave $350. We need such men j as this when we go to build a church, j They will commence the work on j this building in a few days. My brother, H. G. Cupstid, and R L. Wise are staying with me this year. I think they like the Georgia girls ail o. k. I want to ask one question to the young folks that do not read the bible very much. Here is the question: What book in the bible that has not got the Lord's neither God's name ! in it? Mrs. Oapstid and I are in good health. With success to the Dispatch and its host of readers I am as ever your friend T. J. Cupstid. Haicyondale, Ga, Feb. 22,1906 A Favorite Remedy for Babies. Its pleasant taste and prompt cures have made Chamberlain's Cough Rem- I edy a favorite with the mothers of small children. It quickly cures their coughs and prevents any danger of pneumonia or other serious consequences. It not only cures croup, but when given as soon as the cronpy congli appears will prevent the attack.
