A cold wave reaching as far South as Jacksonville, Fla., reached this place on schedule time last Sunday. The gardens and fruits and vegetable truck were considerably injured, bub later developments show that the damage was not so severe as at first supposed. In this immediate vicinity tender vegetables, such as beans, etc., were burnt up as completely as if boiling water had v been poured over them. While a large per cent, of the fruit has been killed yet enough remains uninjured ? to give each one at least a peach around. R. F. D. Routes. Congressman Lever informs us that another route will be established out from Peak and one from Leesille, which will probably go into p-fffict about Juiv 1st. With these two routes there are sow 24 routes in the county, paying and average salary of $700 per year. We desire to say that perhaps the two routes to be established will not at first give entire satisfaction to all persons r- interested, but they will be perfected from time to time until all the patrons will be satisfied.
