A Big Electric Plant. Dr. W. Gill Wylie, of New York, the principal stockholder in the Catawba Electric Power company, which proposes to generate eleotric power at Indian Head, on the Catawba river, seven miles from Rock Hill, has already made contracts to supply Rock Hill and Fort Mill with 3,000 horse power annually. Immediately after the occupation of Cuba by the American army, one Neeley, whose duty was supposed to be to teach the natives the manly art of self government in the postal department, was placed in charge of the Havana post cffice. His conduct of that office is alleged to have been so scanduious and corrupt as to become the absorbing talk of the town and especially in official and army circles. An investigation instituted by this government resulted in the indictment of Neeley and his accomplices. The trial is now in progress and the testimony so far taken is very damaging to the prisoners.
