By tkis time the frost was uielting and we marched out acres# the old fields, than into the woods where the black haws ware plentiful. Hewed's house with our carriers heavily laden with birds, rabbits and opossums, which mad te pl*a?e the ladies and children verv much. The stuffed turkey and other delicious dishes were spread on the table wu our return, so we made ready for the better part of the day. 1 be dinner was heartily enjeyed by all. 1 hare been listening for sense of tke boys to gobble, but 1 guess they were so full they could not. After dinner we teok another hunt which wns 'ery successful. There were 4 1 in number, all of whom were Mr. Howell's descendants, except two. Adger Smyth for the citv. The orator of the day wee Senator Chauncey M. Depew. The speech was a splendid one and was awarded the wildest eathusiasm. President Wagener of the exposition company notified President Roosevelt in the White House that all was in readiness.
