We all ran riry early on last

the fatted turkey which was in
stora far dinner, at Mr L. H. ;
Howell's. By eight a'clack we;
had reurbed the house of our gaod
eld fathar, father-in-law, and
grand-father. In a few raiaute*
uli the childran and grand-children
had arrived. Than wa begun
t? call our dega and prepare
our guns far a rabbit and bird
chase. By tkis time the frost
was uielting and we marched out
acres# the old fields, than into the
woods where the black haws ware
plentiful. All the time the little
animals and fowls had bean coming
into our hands, making our

Hewed's house with our carriers
heavily laden with birds, rabbits
and opossums, which mad te

much. The stuffed turkey and
other delicious dishes were spread
on the table wu our return, so we
made ready for the better part of
the day. 1 be dinner was heartily
enjeyed by all. 1 hare been
listening for sense of tke boys to
gobble, but 1 guess they were so
full they could not. After dinner
we teok another hunt which
wns 'ery successful. There were
4 1 in number, all of whom were
Mr. Howell's descendants, except
two. We wsre thankful for the
health and strength which we
pos-ei-aed, aad hope it will he continued
unto us for unother season

on the exposition race course.
The exercises at the auditorium
began at 11 o'clock, Dr. C. S.
Yedder offered the prayer. Addresses
of welcome were made by
Governor McSweeney en behalf
of the State and by Mayor J.
Adger Smyth for the citv.
The orator of the day wee Senator
Chauncey M. Depew. The
speech was a splendid one and was
awarded the wildest eathusiasm.
President Wagener of the exposition

Roosevelt in the White House
that all was in readiness. The button
