Charley Benson, col., got his throat cut i almost from ear to ear by another negro, Hex Sims. Sims puliad him up agsia when Benson cut at him twice with a knife whan Sims says bs used his razor. Banson walked to the door, sat dowa and a minute or so later fall back on the floor and expirsd. Banson was about 25 years old, unmarried, and had only recently re turned te Lancaster after an absence of several yaara. He haa figured in one or two little town council caaea siiice he returned.
