Last Wednesday was county campaign day for Waxbaw township at Van Wyck. A hoot, one hundred and fifty men, women and children came out to see and hear the candidates speak. There were twenty five candidates present, all except Mr. C C Horton of Kershaw, for coroner, and John A Cook, for auditor, who is unahlo to attend the county can vass on account of having been confined to his home by a six weeks spell of fever. He sent a letter to be read by the chairman to the voters. J M Yoder, township chairman, presided and introduced each candidote for the respective otlices. lie begun with coroner and ended with representative. Twenty minutes were allowed each candidate for representative, and smaller olliees no limit.
