They went to invrsiig te the death of .lack Blank, colored, who was found deid near that station. His body was in a thick cane swamp. Hardly more than the hones of tho body and u few rags on it was found. Tho bones of an ox were also found near him. Coroner (ireen, after viewing the remains did not think it necessary to hold an inquest. The circumstances as reported are that .lack Blanks, colored, disappeared on March 12 an i his hedy was found November 24th. Constable Ilolloway, in dotail:ng the circumstances, said that when he and thecoroner went to the place they found that the hodv of Blanks had decomposed and all that was left was hones and a few rags which was at one time his clothes. Near tho body was the decomposed remains and the bones of un ox. Tho animal ha<t been tied to a tree with a rope and chain which were in perfect condition.
