The Senate concurred in n message sent from the llouse of Representatives, nuking leave to amend the message of the Senate sent on the subject of adjourntnent ; so that the day lixed for such adjournment shall lie on Saturday next, the '20th inst., at *2 o'clock p. m. Mr. Wagner introduced resolution for the appointment of the usual Committees for the t'Jtaituiir.lion of the Bunk of the Btnloj find ashing lot- the usual message \iJ be sent to the llouse, similar committees, to unite with those of the Senate, and that they be allowed the same per diem pay as is allowed to members of '.lie General Assembly. A bill to aid in l!.c construction of the C'baiieston and Savannah Railroad ; a bill to amend an act lor the better ordering and governing negroes and other slaves in the province, pam-ed 10th of May, 1740 received a third reading, titios changed, called acts, and ordered to tlie House of Representatives. Tlie Senate proceeded to the considera tion of the special order of the day for one o'clock, which was resolutions introduced by Mr. Mazyck, in relation to the llluc Ibdge Railroad.
