Walker will not preach on next Sunday in Edgefiel 1 as he ?will be at Trenton in revival meet ing. The Y. W. A. will hold its regu lar meeting next Monday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the home of Miss Josie Sheppard. The service at Methodist church /Thursday night will be especially for young men and young ladies. Everybody will be welcome. Miss Sallie Dunovant is visiting relatives in Columbia. Before re turning she will be the guest of friends in Sumter and Charleston. Revival services begin next Sun day morning in Methodist church at Trenton. Preaching Sunday at 11:15 and 8:30. Hours for week days 10:30 and 8:30. Mr. O. L.. Dobson of Augusta, and Mr. William R. Dobson of Beech Island spent last Saturday and Sunday here with their mottler, Mrs. Emma Dobson. There are yet three county cam paign meetings. One at Parksville Saturday the 17th, another at Reho both Tuesday the 20th, and the last at Edgefield Saturday, the 24th of August. Mrs. Sidney Dreher, of Irmo, Lexington county, is visiting at the home of her uncle, Hon. J. Wm. Thurmond. She was aecompanied by her sister :u-law, Miss Lillian Dreher. Mr. J.' U. Rives has returned after a pleasant stay of several weeks at his summer home in the mountains. His family will remain at Cedar Mountain until the sum mer is over. Mr. Walter Branson says he ex pects to see Mr. Sam Cheatham come back to Edgefield in a year or two, for the reason that no South Carolinian can live long in a state I ?that has Tom Felder and Tom Watson within its borders. The editor of The Advertiser had the pleasure yesterday after noon of going ov.;r the farm of our friend, Luther Quarles, who re sides in the southern edge of town. He has an ideal little farm of 2o acres, mrking a support for his family on this small area. He has 9 acres of very tine corn and 8 acres of cotton that will make a bale to the acre. Mr. Quarlee proves be yond any doubt that intensive farm ing pays. Wilson Campaign Fund. The people of Edgefield county should show their loyalty to the Democratic party and their faith in Governor Woodrow Wilson by making a large contribution to the national Democratic campaign fund.
