Goodyear & Co—This mamoth car riage, buggy and was on establish ment sends greetings to its thousands, of patrons throughout the country on this am picious auniversary season of it. For fifty-three years, long, fruit ful, fateful years fyave the cheerful salutations of the house gone hand in hand with the happiest signs and heartiest anticipations of the ne w epoe. At no period of the preceding interval have they felt so sustained in their progressive venture for the future as they have been made to feel in the ra- cent past by the public recognition of their new and never flagging efforts. They desire on this special occasion to express to their many friends and pat rons their hearty thanks. This house has recently added to their already large warerooms the old Cronicle building four stories high, and filled the same with a large and extensive stock of plows, plow stocks, steel goods, plow castings for all makes nails, iron, and coru and cotton plan- teas’ which they handle in large quan tities are a speciality in connection with their carriages, buggies, wagons, har ness. saddles and general hardware. With their increased facility they are enabled to offer these goods at the lowest cash prices. The carriages and wagon factory, in rear of the Broad street repository, is kept running to its full capcity, man ufacturing vthides of all kinds spe- cilal y ordered. They have just turned out one of the larges, and finest spring trucks ever used in this city, made to order for the Riverside Mill, and speci ally adapted to their warts in hauling bales of cotton goods manufactured by them. This truck is a modbl of its kind, combining many new features and is a sample of the many fine ve hicles made by Goodyear & Co*, and now running in this and adjoining States. Mr Goodyear informs uS that they have orders ahead fo vehicles of this class and that the demaud for ve hicles of then* own manufacture was never so large as at the present time, and their general trade is larger than for many years, and there is no market in this section where this class of goods can be obtained a# advantageously as in Augusta.
