You cannot ] get fat until your digestive tract ( properly assiiuulates the food you eat. ( which seemingly embodies the missing elements needed by the diges ' tive organs to hep them convert food into rich, fat-laden blood. This pre- l paration is called tonoline, and i much remarkable testimony is given as to its successful use in flesh building. Tonoline which comes in the ' form of a small non-injurious tablet, taken at meals and mixed with the i digestive food, tends to prepare fat, , fiesh and muscle building elements so that the blood can readily accept and carry them to the starved portion of 1 the body. You can readily picture < the transformation that additional , and previously lacking flesh making material should bring to your cheeks, filling out hollows about your neck, shoulders and bust disappearing, ana your taking on from 15 to 30 pounds of solid healthy flesh. Tonoline is . harmless, inexpensive, efficient. Your druggist has it and is authorized to refund your money if weight increase is not obtained as per the guaranteefound in each large package. Caution: Tonoline is recommended only as a flesh builder and while excellent results in cases of nervous indigestion, etc., have been re ported, care should be taken about using it unless a gain of weight is desired.?Adv. Antwerp, it was said, has been * commanded to furnish 27,000 men. ? | which probably is not more than 10 & per cent of its able-bodied popula- ' tion, but the commune of Lessim tins lost more than 2,000 from a tot a1 population, including women and ~ children, of 7.000 representing virtually every able-bodied man. ex- a epting oflleials. The entire Belgian population, tin-, narrator said, is terrorized because the people realize they are entireli neipiess. Crowds of hysterical women and children gather at the rail- % way and recruiting stations and many women at Jnmappes threw '1 themselves on the rails to prevent *' the departure of a train of emigrants ' and had to be forcibly removed by ^ German soldiers. The men are frotiuently loaded into cattle cars and '' spend one or two days on the journey. They are strongly determined ' to refuse to work, believing that if * they are not employed in military works, they will be compelled to re- ts place Germans and be forced to Sl work directly or indirectly against the Belgian army and its allies. ' Many prominent Belgians are re n ported not to have hesitated to risk ^ their liberty by the strongest of pro- !> tests to the German authorities^ against the deportations. It is accepted as certain by officials that there will be no inaugural ball, in spite of the hope of Washington citizens for such an event. In addition to the president's opposition to elaborate ceremony at his inauguration in 191rf, officials point to the recent death of his sister. Mrs. Anne llowe, the fact that March 4 falls on Sunday next year, and the prospect that the European war still will be in progress next March as reasons why the next inaugural exercises w ill be as simple as possible.
