The hospitable Bennett homo on Market street was the scene of au exceedingly pretty wedding Wednesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. Walter H. Terry, the well known and universally popular young North Carolinian who has been connected with the Bennett Grocery company lor several y ears, and Miss Sallie Elizabeth Bennett, the amiable and attractive daugh tir ol the late Kuffin Bennett, fhe ceremony was perlorraed at 3 o'clock in the presence of a large number ol invited guests, the llev. The punch bowl wa*> presided oT er by Miss Bessie Lemmond >nd the refreshing liquid was served by little Misses Perry lie 11 Bennett and Olivett Blackm-m. The charming bride was dressed in' a handsome blue traveling suit, with hat and gloves to match. Miss Daisy Bennett, sister ol the bride, wore a lovely white'rret over silk. Mrs. (Mo Motz, niece of the bride, was dame of honor. Among the out of-town guests were Misses Janie and Anna Bonnet', of Heath Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Jud Bell, ol Bell Town; Mrs. Orio Motz, of Rock Hill, and Mr. Reed Terry, of Uatnle', n. o. The bride was the recipient of many elegant and useful presents. The bridal couple left on the Southern's afternoon train lor Ilamlet, n. <j., to spend a lew days with the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Terry. On ** their return to Lancaster, Mr. and Mrs. Terry will occupy the nice new residence (he former lias had built and furnished in f U/i nAff linan ? ! />! /\ it/ viiv ii pai i wi tun ii, Negro Captured Who Attacked Lady Teacher. Greenville special in the News and Courier: Arthur John on, the negro, who has been hunted in the vicinity ol Greer for the past two days, was captured by the chief ol police ot Greer at the Apalachin Mills, near that town today. It will be remembered that the citizens of (Jreer were highly incensed over soiue highly improper advances which the negro made to one ot the young lady school teachers of Greer, who gave the alarm, whereupon the negro iled and remained in hiding until this morning. The News and Courier representative saw the negro, who denied having any evil intentions, saying that lie morel/ put his hands upon the baclc of the lady's chair. He seems to be terribly frightened, and said that he had ''been in the bushes" ever since the affair happened. He was taken to Columbia this morning for sale-keeping. All , is quiet at Greer tonight.
