, A Here's The Simple Life. Colony Planned by G. H. Ander, in Mexico?Ander Says Clothes are a Nuis viu in a iew nns, naturally. Jbut before long, when we have all become pure in heart, we will have no ueed lor even fin leaves. A person, 1 have observed af ter careful study, is always more healthful when he allows the air to circulate over skin, and we intend to turnout the healthiest, happiest human beings in the world. What good does all this clothing we wear do? "Your body is oow ho choked up with starched clothing thar fresh air cannot get to it. Then, too, there will be an enormous saving of time by not making clothes and the hours that would be consumed in that occupation' can go to developing ourselves aesthetically". For more than two years Mr. Ander allowed his hair to grow so that he shall he supremely fit for the colony. His beard tails to his waist and his hair, when unrolled, to the middle of his Uack. "All of our men will refuse to cut either their beurds or locks," he continued; "it is an insult to tne laws 01 nature to do otherwise. Hair is tor some use. Otherwise, why was it given us? ' I have concluded that hair must be in an intangible sort oi way useful in communicating with the spirits around us. At all events, ajlot ol time is wasted in cutting hair. 1 presume that the women by not braiding their hair will save a lot of time, too. "There will be no cooking to speak ol.We will live 011 nuts and fruits. When truits are not in season we will have to eat vegetables. But a student of nature can see that man was never meant to uee anything but produce from tho trees. Our walking upright shows that wo were meant to reach up for edibles It we were built like cows, then we might be expected to teed from the ground. Besides, there is very little effort required in raising fruit and nuts. "Each colonist, will be allowed to raise what he nleanec For example, I personally den ire to raise cocoanuts. Six acres accommodates 200 cocoanut trees, and as each tree drops about one a day, I should have above 70,000 cocoanuts, each having an exchange value of 1 cent. "In fact, lile will be a dream instead of a nightmare. There'll be no cooking and little washing. All women will have to do is to love and 6leep. The state, which is a poor name tor colonists' official assemblage, will decide who are fit to be man and wife. Men and women will be united with a view to begetting the finest children. If the offspring does not turn out as it should, then the parents will he remated. ance. A ''Simple Life Paradise Col onv," where men, women and children will go about naked and where the men are never to cut their hair or beards,^ wi'l be started this I all near Vera Cruz, Mexico, by Gustat II. Auder, well known in the socialist and anarchist circles in New York. More than 50 persons haye bef. ii v/uuio uiB luuowers and have promised to sail lor the tropics when he does. (Simple tools). Mr. Acder is spreading "sim pie lite thoughts" and "paradise breezes," giviDg the plans for this unique colony, by September 1 to collect at least 500 col onists who have the samfe "free" ideas that he has. "When we gel down to Mexico we will get rid of all 'he clotnes that we cud," Mr Ander said. "Of course, some of us will hold THE LA There will be no limit on ohil dren in this colony. Each cou pie will have as many babies a the., want I They won't havi pigs to raise, so they may de vote their attention to youngsters These won't have to be led o clothed any more than pigs, s iU?? i-- L ' iudj ?uu t uo inucn irouDie. "We won't eyen have to both er to name the children. Wha good is a name except in com petition and business? We won' have any books to keep. "Education outside of tha which concerns the beautiful ii life will be disregarded. Wha does education do now but teacl one to go out and beat the othe man? "We have develonftd tr? t.h degree that sve can get alonj without depending on lowe creatures, such as horses, cattle pigs, and chickens, for support "No, we will not even hav cows; at least, that is our presen view, for every drop of milk w< take means robbing so mucl from the call. ' Tobacco and liquor may b used if and one wishes them.? The Sovereign Visitor.
