Since our last pu lication the following cases ha been acti d on: The cat?^ of J. B. Sims, chari ed with nurder, full report which appears elsewhere. Strait and Herbert McMulle offense, assault, transferred ^ magistrate for trial. The case of Berry Moble charged with murder, was n prossed, the defendant beii dead. Bill Milly, alias Bill Masse offense, house breaking and In ceny, for whom bench warra was issued, continued to no: court. Irvin Hill, offense,, obiainii goods under false pretense, n prossed ; as was also case of P 1). Love, charged with violatii dispensary law, defendant beii dead. Pars Funderburk, charged wi murder?killing of Charlie PI, ler, son of Capt. 0. A. Plyle resulted in a verdict of not gu ty. The defense was that tl shooting was accidental. M Foster represented the defen ant. The sealed sentence in tl case of R. L. Long, charged wi obtaining signatures under fal pretense, brought over from la ^ court, was opened and read, b ing a fine of $400 and 2 years ( public works. Charles Clyburn, Joe Cox, F lis Wright, Sam Wright, Alonj Wright, Ilervey Wright, SanVaughn and Fred Wright, char ed with riot, resulted in a ve diet of guilty.
