When about a mile from town, Tom Taylor stepped from behind a tree iwf cnnoti* - mule Hitch was driving by the bridle, liitch opened fire on him with a Winchester rille, which lie was carrying in his buggy, one shot taking effect and killing Taylor instantly. Taylor was about 21 years of age and was under bond for the killing of Hitch's brother last January. Hitch came back to town and reported what he had done. Death of tl ('hitit.
