Miss Kloise Foster, who for a number of years has been one of the Lancaster Graded school's most faithful and efficient teach ers, has resigned to accept a similar position in the Abbe villo school. Miss Foster is unquestionably one of the best primary teachers in the State and it is with much regret that Lancaster gives her up. The vacancy in the corps of teachers caused by Miss Foster's resignation will be tilled by the board in a day or two. Spaniard Drowned in the Catawba River. Fort Mill s; ecial in yesterday's Observer: Joseph Vaca, a Spaniard working at the Charlotte Brick Company's plant, was drowned in I lie Catawba river tliere today. He was sitting on a limb over the water fishing, when the limb broke and precipitated him into the water. He was unable to swim.
