A Case in 'Which the Blood Hound Did Effective Work. _ From Our Dumb Animals. There comes to our tablo a fine illustration of the power of a dog's scent. A few days ago Bertha, the Dretlv tour-year old daughter of John C. Putnam, of Mill Vi11 ago, disappeared. All the neighbors joined in t lie search for her.
