Asset growth exceeds 19% Purpose is to help with financial management "Our purpose -is to help our members become a better managers of their financial affairs," reported Manager Harvey Dickert. "The financial condition of the Clinton Credit Association is continuing to improve." "Since our last meeting," added Dickert, "we've had an asset growth of 19.58%; a growth rate in shares of $13.7%; and a loan growth of 21.84%." Dickert praised the Company for its support and expressed his appreciation to members for utilizing the financial services provided by CCA. "We've made over $4,000,000 in loans since the Association was founded. These loans have enabled our members to meet financial emergencies, purchase needed items, establish savings and provide a better standard of living for themselves and their families." Officers of CCA Association officers are comprised of President James Buchanan, Vice President Joe Nelson,Treasurer Norman Craven, Secretary Pat Owens, and Herman Williams, Mack Parsons, and Martha Prather, all Directors. Scholarships and Loans 1990 scholarships and loans program Who is eligible for a Clinton Foundation Scholarship and Loan? •Children of Clinton Mills employees who will be graduating in the high school classes in 1990. •The parent of each applicant must have been employed by Clinton Mills for a period of at least two years as of the April 15 filing deadline. Can I apply for a scholarship and loan if I have been out of school for a year or more? •Qualifying applicants must be a senior in high school and ready to enter college in the fall term in the year in which the scholarship or loan is awarded with the intention of earning a recognized academic degree in the normal four year period. Who will determine the recipients of scholarships and loans? •All applicants will be reviewed by an independent Grants Advisory Committee. The present members of the Advisory Committee are Dr. Russell Dean, Fletcher Pruitt, Sr., Henry A. Simmons, Dr. Ann Stidham and Dr. Carl Wessinger. What is the value of the scholarships and loans? •Each of the scholarships awarded will be in the amount of $2,000 per year, not to exceed $8,000 per total scholarship. •The loans will each have a value of $1,750 annually, not to exceed $7,000. How many scholarships and loans will be granted? •The Foundation will award up to three (3) college scholarships and ten (10) interest- free college loans annually. In 1989, the Foundation awarded three scholarships and seven interest-free loans. Who received the scholarships for 1989? •Teresa Bagwell, Tracy Whitman and Tim Littleton. Loans went to Christine Ses- soms, David Price, Lisa Haskins, Willie Jones, Norris Curenton, Norma C. Smith and Valerie Gary. Where can I get application forms for the scholarships and loans? • Mack Parsons in the Clinton Mills Personnel Department, Bob Dettmar, Geneva, Shirley Weeks, EFA, or Russell Vance, Clinton Sales will be pleased to provide applica tion forms for eligible applicants.
