Clinton Credit Association Credit association holds annual meeting The third annual meeting of the Clinton Credit Association was held November 15. President James Buchanan reported to those attending that as of September 30, 1989 the Association had assets totalling $2,833,933, up substantially from 1988's $2,362,066. Buchanan noted that during the past year the financial firm had added a Christmas Club to its savings plans, made available wire transfer and direct deposit of payroll funds to better serve our members. In addition to the added services, the Association's field of membership has been expanded to include anyone that is related to Clinton Mills employees or retired employees through blood or marriage. The Supervisory Committee comprised of Lewis Boyer, Chairman; B.F. Harvey and Margie Jacks reported a satisfactory Carol Ann Boyd received a Magic Chef microwave oven as the first place prize in the recent Clinton Credit Association promotion. Carol, Lydia weaving, is all smiles as Sandi Satterfield of the CCA staff gives her the oven just in time for use during the holiday season. Deborah Barnes, #2 spinning, received the second place prize from Imo Jean Woods, right. Deborah was pleased to get the twin coolers which she plans to use throughout the year. appraisal of the operating officials, practices, and conditions of the Association. A Federal examination was conducted on January 11,1989, and recommendations found during this lengthy review are being addressed by management. Truman Owens, Chairman of the Credit Committee, and Gerald Satterfield reported that over 1,155 outstanding loans totalling over $2,380,000 were currently being serviced by the financial firm. They noted that as September 30, the Association has made $4,346,829 in loans to eligible members. Nominating Committee Paul Tyson, Martha Simmons, and Homer Lawson presented a slate of directors for three year terms.
