Wes. as he is known by his many friends, gained the reputation over the years of always being at work well before shift change because "I never liked to be late." "I've missed very little time from work." he added, "alwavs trvine to make every mrk I could. That's the only way to make good money." he added with a smile. Wes recalled the early years with the company when he ran about all the jobs at one time or another. "Some days I didn't know whether I'd bea loom filling supplier, smash specialist, or a weaver." "I liked my work and that's why I stayed with it. Now that I'm retired, I guess I'll fish and just relax." he continued, "but I'll never forget my association with the 'mills.'" I- % Lydia Cloth.
