Geneve Founded 19-Year-( RditAr'c O * ^V?V In July,1977 Clinton Mills announced that it had acquired the Geneva Plants of FabricsAmerica. Since acquiring the operations, the company has been modernizing the plants and installing new machinery and other equipment to enable it to produce superior quality fabrics. Seven years later, in 1875, a charter was., granted to the town of Geneva. Historically, during the late 1800's and early 1900's, turpentine, lumber, and other agricultural and forestry products dominated the economy of the area. Although, today, primarily, an agricultural region, numerous manufacturers haves located in this area. Geneva has a sub-tropical climate which is influenced by the Gulf of Mexico. It lies approximately 105 feet above sea level and has an average annual temperature of about 67 degrees.
