Many of us fail to realize the importance of an election and the value of the right and privilege to vote. Imagine the right to vote being taken away from you. All of us like to have some voice in who our elected officials are. Too many of us feel that our one vote doesn't count, and that it doesn't matter whether or not we cast our ballot. All votes count the same. No one counts more than the other. Now the 18 year olds have the opportunity to vote, and this will increase the size of the electorate greatly. As citizens of a democracy, let's exercise this treasured opportunity to vote by secret ballot. Please remember that you must be registered to vote. If you have not already registered, do so.
