AUGUST. 1963 Miss Terry Am Married In Ba1 Calvary Baptist Church was the scene of the marriage oi Miss Susan Teresa Terry and Frank Sproles Pitts on Sunday, July 21, at 4 o'clock. Rev. J. W. Spillers heard their vows. Mrs. Frank Lee organist, and Harry E. Bolick III, vocalist, presented music The bride, who was giver in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Air arH Mr? William Davenport Terry oi 103 Bailey St. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Daniel Pitts of North Adair Street. Mr. Pitts was his son's best man. Gowned in Chantillv lace and silk-faced peau de sole with pearls and sequins, the bride carried a white bouquet of Sweetheart roses centered with an orchid. Her dress had a high scalloped neckline controlled bell skirt with lace front and peau de sole back extending to a cathedral train over which flowed a back lace panel. Her bouffant veil was held by a forward cap ot organza petals tipped with lace, pearls and aurora crystals. Miss Jo Carol Terrv was her sister's maid of honor Bridesmaids were Misses Marv Ann Tomr nf Vnrtl. Augusta, Sheila Jackson ol Chattanooga, Tenn.. and Beth Trammell of Charlotte, N. C They wore apricot silk organza sheaths with scoop necklines, brief sleeves, empire front, overskirts and headpieces were matching organ za petals. The young womer carried orange delight rose buds. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snow, Jr., spent a few days at Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Pauline Proffitt has returned to her home from VINOLA D Mrs. Vinola Dunawav, charter member of the Clinton Mills Old Timers Club brought to a close a continuous service record of 43vears when she retired from her spinning job August 3. Vinola come to work at Clinton as a young girl in 1920. She will be missed by her large host of friends in Spinning -1. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Stevens and sons, Kenneth and Michael, of Bedford, Indiana, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Putnam. Bailey Memorial Group Visits Camp Members of the Methodist Youth Fellowship of Bailey Memorial Church were overnight visitors at Lake Junaluska the past week end. On Saturday before leaving the ^roup visnea some of the historical points of interest at Junaluska. A short devotional service was held in the Memorial Chapel before the Ejroup left to go to Maggie Valley and a visit to Ghost Town and the Cherokee Indian Reservation at Cherokee, North Carolina. Those making the trip were Misses Delores Dunawav, Sybil Windsor, Kathv Snelgrove, Sue Word. Jo Charles. Larry Lawson. Joe Wilkie. Frank Medlin. Nathan Gilstrap. and Jimmy Austin.
