Those visited were Mrs. Lula Birchmore and Mrs. Henry Griffin. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller of Batesburg the following Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Myers spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Hovt Payne in Kershaw recently. Mr. Payne is Mrs. Mver's brother. They also visited other relatives while there. Charles celebrated a birthday January 7. Mrs. Myers celebrated her birthday on January 14. so they split the difference and had a birthdav dinner on January 6. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Nelson and daughter visited his father and mother on Sun day. Mr. Nelson is in the Air Force and has just completed a tour of duty in England. H Mr Mrs. Addie Coleman retired January 7th after more than 44 years continuous service in the Spinning Room at Lydia. Addie. a charter member of the Old Timers Club, came to Lydia as a young girl in December. 1918. She is well known and highly respected throughout the Community, where she has resided since girlhood.
