SEPTEMBER, 1960 WEAVING NOs. 1. 2 & 3 1st Shift By Irene Davenport Bobby Cook, grandson of Mrs. Helen Cook, was given a surprise birthday party at the Pistol Club in Greenville September 2. Games were played in the beautifully decorated room. After which he opened the many gifts. Thirty-five children attended. He returned to Cleveland September 4 for the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Coates, who have been away for about five years in Ohio, have returned to Mauldin to make their home. WEAVING NO. 1 2nd Shift By Lilliam Forester Johnnv Stewart celebrated B his 7th birthday Sunday, August 'J 1st. with a party on their front lawn where they enjoyed several games and THE CLOTHMAKER then they came into the dining room where they were served cup cakes, candy, ice cream and lemonade. Seventeen little friends came. He received many beautiful and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart motored to Gastonia, N. C., Friday, August 19. James stayed and attended his uncle's funeral. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Hughev attended the Southern Five Hundred Race in Darlington, S. C., Labor Day. They enjoyed it very much. Bcnnie Sinclair went fishing and tried to beat H. N. Hughey's 9 lb. 1 oz. bass but he did not have any luck. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Sumeral and Tommie and Barry and Mr. and Mrs. Edd Sumeral spent one weekend at the mountains recently.
