Mrs. Frances Meeks recently visited her sister, Mrs. M. H. Todd, at the Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Sgt. Douglas E. DeYoung left last week for his new assignment at Loring Air Force Base. Limestone, Maine, after a 30 day leave with his mother, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins. Mrs. Barbara Jones and children, of Greenville, are spending this week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clove Satterfield and other relatives. Friends of Mrs. Lillian Forrester will be glad to learn that she has returned home and is doing fine after an operation and hospital stay at Hays Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burdette visited in the homo of Mrs. S. C. Chapman in Easley recently. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford and Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Lanford visited in the mountains the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burdette attended Parents D a v on October J1 at Presbyterian College with their son, Herman. and attended the P. C.Catawba football game that night. Mr. and Mrs. Grover McInvaille attended the AdamsReebles wedding in Chester on Saturday. Miss Peggy Mclnvaille, of Lancaster, spent the past weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mclnvaille. Kinsland celebrated his 17th birthday on October 17. Mrs. Sarah Shelnut and Mr. and Mrs. Hunnicutt visited Roy Owens, who is a patient in the Veterans Hospital in Columbia and also visited Sam Hairston who is a patient at State Park in Columbia. Friends of Betty Gallman will be sorry to learn she is a patient at Blalock Clinic. We wish for her a speedy recovery. Men's Club of the 3rd Shift enjoyed a supper Saturday night at Panorama Lodge. Ciena Kellv. granddaughter of Mr. Charlie Motte. celebrated her 9th birthday November 6. Bones Campbell will celebrate his birthday November 24. He has quit counting his birthdays, so we don't know how old he is. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith visited relatives in Greenwood over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pierce celebrated their 9 \\ wedding anniversary. Donnie Vanderford's hog has 9 little pigs. He said they were the cutest little things.
