NOVEMBER. 1959 1st Shift By Irene Davenriort Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Cook visited in the mountains of N. C. the past week. Mrs. Rosa Fowler observed a birthday on November 3. Mrs. Ruth Oakley observed a birthday on November 24. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens and Larry, Dianne Davenport and Dianne Williams spent the past weekend in Greenville with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shealey. Mary Lou Walker celebrated her 3rd birthday on November 1. Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Donald and family, of Seneca, visited Mr. and Mrs. Lester Harris the past weekend. Mrs. Frances Meeks recently visited her sister, Mrs. M. H. Todd, at the Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Sgt. Douglas E. DeYoung left last week for his new assignment at Loring Air Force Base. Limestone, Maine, after a 30 day leave with his mother, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins. Mrs. Barbara Jones and children, of Greenville, are spending this week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clove Satterfield and other relatives. Friends of Mrs. Lillian Forrester will be glad to learn that she has returned home and is doing fine after an operation and hospital stay at Hays Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burdette visited in the homo of Mrs. S. C. Chapman in Easley recently. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford and Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Lanford visited in the mountains the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burdette attended Parents D a v on October J1 at Presbyterian College with their son, Herman. and attended the P. C.Catawba football game that night. Za Mrs. George Wilson, of Greenville, spent the past weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Mitt Milam and Mrs. Paxton, of Brevard, N. C., was their visitor also. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chandler and children and Mrs. Ethel Crowel 1, of Newberry. were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Mitt Milam. Mr. and Mrs. Grover McInvaille attended the AdamsReebles wedding in Chester on Saturday. Miss Peggy Mclnvaille, of Lancaster, spent the past weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mclnvaille. Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Neil, of Greenwood, visited Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mclnvaille the past Sunday. Mr. S. J. Todd observed his 75th birthday on November 5. Charlie B. Kinsland celebrated his 17th birthday on October 17. Mrs. Sarah Shelnut and Mr. and Mrs. Hunnicutt visited Roy Owens, who is a patient in the Veterans Hospital in Columbia and also visited Sam Hairston who is a patient at State Park in Columbia. Paula Shelnut observed a birthday on October 29. Friends of Bill Patterson will be glad to learn he has returned home and is doing fine after suruerv and a hos pital stav at Havs Hospital. Friends of Betty Gallman will be sorry to learn she is a patient at Blalock Clinic. We wish for her a speedy recovery. We are glad to welcome Whit rucker. of Joanna, as a newcomer to our Weave .oom as a loom fixer. Friends of Mrs. Furman Bratcher will be sorrv to learn she has been out several days sick. We hope she will soon be well and able to return to work. WEAVING NO. I 2nd Shift Mrs. Lillian Forester has been in the hospital. Friends will be iilad to know that she has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Hughey spent Sunday with the former's brother in Spartanburg. Little Mike Dunaway celebrated her birthday the 7th of November. WEAVING NO. 3 3rd Shift By Fronie Franklin W. J. Franklin, Leland Hazel and J. D. Oakley attended the Clemson and Duke game Saturday at Clemson. Mrs. Fronie Franklin and Carol visited her da .ehter and family in Anderson the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cook. Joyce and Carmin. of Newberry, visited Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Franklin. They all went to the High School game Friday night. Rose Mary Ringer, of Newberry. visited Carol Franklin the past week. We welcome William Wvatt to the 3rd Shift. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Atkinson and Rondie visited Mrs. Atkinson's parents in Lawrenceville, Ga., last weekend. WEAVING NO. 2 3rd Shift By Bobbie Pierce Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Overstreet visited Mrs. O v e rstreet's mother, Mrs. Alma Lee. of Columbia. Bovce Overstreet celebrated his birthdav November 91 Ho is 6 years old. Michael Templeton. son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Templeton. celebrated his third birthday October 13. Men's Club of the 3rd Shift enjoyed a supper Saturday night at Panorama Lodge. Ciena Kellv. granddaughter of Mr. Charlie Motte. celebrated her 9th birthday November 6. Bones Campbell will celebrate his birthday November 24. He has quit counting his birthdays, so we don't know how old he is. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith visited relatives in Greenwood over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pierce celebrated their 9 \\ wedding anniversary. Donnie Vanderford's hog has 9 little pigs. He said they were the cutest little things. Ronnie Pace and Jim Cauble are planning a hunting t rip. Mrs. Bobbie Pierce will celebrate her birthday November 28. (Jerald Rav Cauble has recent lv ioined the U. S. Navv. He is the son of Jim Cauble. Thanksgiving will be here before we meet again through the Clothmaker. so we wish everyone will have a nice Thanksgiving. Lot's be more thankful for what we have. SPINNING 1st Shift By Mary Ellison Fireman Ray Riley spent a weekend with his wife and baby. Mickey and Ray. before returning to ship for a tour overseas. Mr. and Mrs J. R. O'Shields and Mary Ellison spent a weekend in Jacksonville, Fla., recently. Mrs. Ray Riley and baby, Ray, accompanied them home. Ernest O'Shields, of Ware Shoals, visited his nephew, Mr. J. B. O'Shields, and Mrs. O'Shields. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Vincent, Jr., announce the birth of a baby girl, Nancy Elizabeth, on November 7. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Howell, of Lydia. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan and family, also Mrs. Luella Morgan. visited a sister-in-law in Great Falls, where their nephew is very sick with meningitis. Little Eddie Pore is recuperating at home after being a patient in Minncrs Hospital Eddie lost a fineer from an injury which he received from plavine on a tractor. We wish him the best of luck.
