All persons who expect to vote this year will have to register, and all those having registration certificates will have to re-reg ister. The Lyceum lecture in the school house last Tuesday even ing drew a very small audience. Mr. Booth Lowery, the lectur2 er handled his subject, "Simon Says Wig-wag," with ease and charm displaying his remarka ble ability. The moral vein, which was the under-current of the address was most worthy and commendable. A goodly number of the Pick ens folks worshipped at Griffin church Sunday. A large crowd gathered there and listened with profound attention to the ad dresses on the subject of mis sions by'some of the earnest, in terested workers. A contribu tion of more than $50 was taken. This Is a community of fine peo ple. They are substantial citi zens of whom Pickens county s'iould be proud. The manager of the Scott, Silverlake & Connor Show, Mr. - Silverlake, after his part in the show was over on Friday inight, was taken sud denly. and seriously sic1. He is now under the care of Dr. Webb and is confined to his bed at the hotel with congestion of the lungs. The show left Tuesday to fill their next engagements, leaving Mr. Silverlake who is being tenderly watched over and cared for by his wife, assisted by the hotel people and his physi cian.
