Queen Latrfah's latest, Order in the Court, and its first single "Bananas," is blazing up the hiphop and R&B charts. Latifah's career started in the late 80s as part of the Native Tongue hip-hop family. Her first CD, All Hail the Queen, contained the female anthem "Ladies First," a song that put Latifah an Hie map. The Mow-up disc, Nature of a Sista', further established her as one of the most powerful female voices in hip-hop. Then, her career sky-rocketed with the hit single "UNITY" (from the album Black Keign), several popular acting roles an the TV show "Living Single" and several movies. With Order in the Court, Latifah has put her acting on hold and is touring in support of the album. No artist an Lihth, however, can compare with Bonnie Raitt's brilliant career. Many people might only know her from her 1989 break-through CD, Nidi of Time, but Raitt has had a long track record of albums.
