Monday, March 2,1998 Baseball The Gamecocks ran their winning streak to nine with three victories over the Thundering Herd. staff writer MARK P1RAS The Gamecock baseball team fended off a scrappy Marshall club in a thrilling three-game sweep over the weekend to extend its winning streak to nine games. USC entered the ninth inning trailing by one run on both Friday and Saturday, but got clutch hitting to pull out the wins.
