I was able to find out about some new businesses around town through The Gamecock," Dalbec said. Both Jenkins and Dalbec said they could see benefits in the "Carolina's Best" survey. "I think it is a benefit for both [students and businesses]," Dalbec said. If she is eligible to win next year, she said she will participate again. "It only takes a few minutes and it is a service also to see what people like. Why not [fill out a ballot]?" Jenkins said. Uing event "They were happy to know they had won. The runner-ups wanted to know how many votes they were from winning," Taylor said. "To a certain degree, this was a service. It is good for businesses to know where students really go. It lets them know that USC is a good population to target," she said. Taylor said she wants to make this an annual event.
