All of this year's^ events revolve around the c theme "Simply Carolina." a The Homecoming Commission, which is part s of Carolina Productions, decided on the theme, f Students on the commission asked their friends, classmates and fellow officers for theme sugges- i tions. . c "We wanted to go for nothing glamorous," said a Lori Toland, Homecoming commissioner. "It's a s celebration of the simple things at USC: football ? and academics." c This year's festivities will be kicked off on t Wednesday, with the traditional Carnival from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.. The Carnival will feature student or- p ganizations and groups from the Columbia com- ( munity. The Homecoming Commission plans to T < i c p r ( 'hone: I All progr HOMECOI ffers activitie iward prizes to participants in several categories: nost original booth, most popular booth, and the >est overall booth. Students visiting the Carnival, will have the ipportunity to stick to a velcro wall. Besides the relcro students will find a bungee run and cyroicope. The Columbia Marionette Theater will peroral "Snow White". Cockfest, which is expected to be one of the nost exciting events of the week, will be on Thurslay at 6:30 p.m. Student organizations will provide entertainment during Cockfest,performing kits based on this year's theme. Coach Brad Scott ind the football team captains will address the :rowd. Cocky, the cheerleaders and the band will iring the crowd together in cheering for USC. This year Big Head Todd & The Monsters will >erform after Cockfest.
