The last game during the break for the lamecocks was against the LSU Fighting igers. The Tigers led by 15 at the half and /ere up by 10 with 13:51 left. The lamecocks went on a 16-2 mark and led 3-59 3:51 later. USC was sparked by the econd-half play of Johnson, who scored 31 oints in the second period and finished the ame with 38 points. According to coach Wilson, Timmons layed a big part in the victory. The coach redited Timmons' defense with stopping !omelia Gayden, the leading scorer for the igers. Bass was the only Gamecock other tan Johnson to score in double figures. She nished the game with 11 points. Johnson's tally of 38 points was the most ince Sharon Gilmore scored 40 points gainst Florida International in 1983. The 8 points also tie Johnson for fourth place n the all-lime Gamecock list for most oints in a game.
