The top two players for the Pirates are senior tight end Carlester Crumpler and junior running back Junior Smith. Crumpler is an All-American who has caught two or more passes in eight straight games and 14 of his past 15 games. Smith is ECU's leading ground gainer with 492 yards on 102 carries. He has gained more than 100 yards in three of the season's four games. At his current pace, he will finish the season with 1,353 yards.
