The center started the Emerging Leader ^ Program in 1988 and the Leadership Mentor f Program in 1990 to make sure USC's leaders were putting their talents to use. Leadership mentors should also meet with their mentee at least three times outside of scheduled events. Through these situations, the Campus Activities Center hopes a new friendship will develop. "The Emerging Leader/ Leadership mentor programs offer students more of a personal orientation to Carolina," said Meghan Keally, a graduate intern in leadership programs. Students interested in becoming leadership mentors should pick up an application in the Campus Activities Center. The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 17.
