Japane; By SEAN McGUINNESS Graphics Editor Japanese animation, also known as Japanimation or "Anime" (pronounced a-nih-may), is becoming one of the more popular products to be shipped from the Orient. Some of the shows vou watched as a kid might have been early Anime, such as "Voltron," "G-Force: Battle of the Planets," and "Starblazers." The modern Japanimation titles offer superior animation, intense storylines and blazing action. But the main obstacle to enjoying Anime is the language barrier. Many of the following titles are available in video shops like Suncoast Video or are available by mail-order: "Bubblegum Crisis/Bubblegum Crash" ? Miss Brodie, a petite and eloquent teacher who remained, as she would constantly say, in her "prime," dominated by the lives and minds of her students and others around her. Directed by Robert Jennings, "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," rounded up the University Summer Rep Program. The play was very touching, emotional, enlightening and humorous. These are titles that are most widely accessible. However, fans and pirate companies offer a wider selection for half the price. You can find titles such as "Ranma 1/2," "Baoh," "Gunnm," and Outlanders from mail-order companies or animation clubs.
