The team finished second-to-last in the West and their attendance was the worst in the league this past season. There is no reason to think that this will change, especially since the Giants play in the worst stadium in professional baseball. Candlestick Park is a baseball nightmare. The setting is ugly, the weather is unpredictable and the field is always in poor shape. He is one of the best rushers in the league and led the league in rushing last year and is very close to the top this year. Plus he has scored more touchdowns (12) than any other rusher. How about Michael Irvin? This guy is being compared to Jerry Rice. How about Troy Aikman? Sam Wyche said that, barring injury, this guy could be one of the greatest quarterbacks of our time (I will agree with anyone who has a shot of bringing a winning season to Tampa Bay). How about his third down conversion? How about Jay Novacek? This is the man in the clutch. I think, however, the real MVP for the Cowboys right now has to be the front office of the Minnesota Vikings for making the stupidest trade in the history of man when they traded for Herschel Walker with all of those draft picks and regular players. This is how the Cowboys got guys like Smith and Maryland. I think this is also why Sports Illustrated is calling them 'the team of the '90s.'
