With the nightmare of Otis
Nixon trying to bunt down the first
base line in Game 6 of The World
Series still lingering in my head, I
have turned my attention towards
my other team (are you ready for
this Deadskin fans?): the Dallas
Cowboys.

Cowboys have not done since I
was about 3-years-old. Now before
all of you Redskins fans, Eagles
fans or whoever opposes start
"hoopin' and hollerin,"' I have got
two words for you guys:

San Francisco is trying its hardest
to keep the Giants from moving to
Tampa Bay. My question is why do

Three seasons ago, the team won
the National League Pennant. Since
then, the franchise has gone steadily
downhill.
The team finished second-to-last
in the West and their attendance
was the worst in the league this past
season. There is no reason to think
that this will change, especially
since the Giants play in the worst
stadium in professional baseball.
Candlestick Park is a baseball
nightmare. The setting is ugly, the
weather is unpredictable and the
field is always in poor shape.
Granted, it is the second oldest stadium
in the National League and it

The USC soccer team has earned
a spot as one of 28 teams in the
NCAA tournament, it was
announced Monday.
USC completed its regular season
with a 13-4-3 record.
Carolina had a season of many

look at the Cowboy offense. How
about my man, Emmitt Smith? He
is one of the best rushers in the
league and led the league in rushing
last year and is very close to
the top this year. Plus he has
scored more touchdowns (12) than
any other rusher. How about
Michael Irvin? This guy is being
compared to Jerry Rice. How about
Troy Aikman? Sam Wyche said
that, barring injury, this guy could
be one of the greatest quarterbacks
of our time (I will agree with anyone
who has a shot of bringing a
winning season to Tampa Bay).
How about his third down conversion?
How about Jay Novacek?
This is the man in the clutch. In
addition, "Da Boys," as people
have dubbed them, have guys like

for the Cowboys right now has to
be the front office of the Minnesota

they traded for Herschel Walker
with all of those draft picks and
regular players. This is how the
Cowboys got guys like Smith and
Maryland. I think this is also why
Sports Illustrated is calling them
'the team of the '90s.' I think the
Braves are the team of the '90s
also, but this is a different column
for next semester.
