A resident said someone stole a book from his unlocked room. Monday, Nov. 11 Burglary third degree, larceny of hypodermic needles, malicious to personal property, USC School of Medicine. An employee reported someone stole 40 hypodermic needles and spilled 18 liters of saline solution. Tuesday, Nov. 12 Grand larceny of a purse, Coliseum. A student forgot her purse and could not find it when she returned. Malicious injury to real property, McBryde. A student was locked in his room and could not get out. Police said he got out of the room by hitting the lock with a hammer. Disorderly conduct, Business Administration. An officer arrested a student whom the officer said became belligerent when the officer tried to have his girlfriend's car towed from a handicapped space. Wednesday, Nov. 13 Shoplifting, USC Bookstore. Officers said a man took a maroon Carolina jacket, worth $100, without paying. Larceny of currency, Douglas. A resident said someone took money from his wallet while he was not in his unlocked room. Illegal use of telephone, Capstone. A resident said someone has been making obscene phone calls to her room. Grand larceny of jewelry, Wade Hampton. Two residents reported someone took $350 worth of jewelry from their room. Larceny of purse, Thomas Cooper Library. A student reported her purse was missing after she left it in the library while she was in class. Larceny of money, LaBorde. A resident said someone took $40 from his wallet. Larceny of bicycle, Patterson. A student said someone took his locked bicycle from the bike rack. Illegal use of telephone, South Tower. Friday, Nov. 15 Disorderly conduct, trespass after notice, Rutledge Chapel. Officers arrested a man they said was beating on and yelling at a resident's door. Malicious injury to personal property, C-1 lot, 1332 Pendleton St. A student reported someone removed the fuel line from a motorcycle at the above location. Auto breaking, 300 Sumter St. A student said someone broke into his car and damaged the ignition switch.
